Always pain but never pleasure
The misery goes without measure
Found his love like a buried treasure
If I were to hate him, it would be never

Underneath that makeup her life is a wreck
I watch her dance with a noose tied around his neck
It seems he’s in a hurry to bounce her check
And if I’m ever seen, I must look a tiny speck

Does he know I’m different from other girls
I’ve never even owned a set of pearls
Where is the direction his love unfurls
Put me underneath him where my spirit swirls

I'm gone. Maybe it's like I never existed at all.
